Galatasaray Face Major Financial Hurdle in Pursuit of Crystal Palace Forward Ismaïla Sarr
Galatasaray have made an ambitious attempt to sign Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr, but their first offer has been rejected and any renewed approach would need to be considerably higher. The Turkish champions are searching for a high-profile winger, yet Palace have made it clear that they are not interested in selling one of their most important attacking players for anything less than an exceptional fee.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Galatasaray submitted a formal proposal for the Senegal international. However, Crystal Palace immediately turned down the bid, reinforcing their determination to keep Sarr at Selhurst Park.
Romano stated on X that Palace had rejected Galatasaray’s initial offer and that the Premier League club would only consider a “huge, really huge proposal” for the player. The message underlines the difficulty facing the Turkish side as it attempts to make progress in the negotiations.
Crystal Palace Set a High Asking Price
Palace’s position is straightforward: Sarr is not regarded as a player who can be easily replaced. The club have no urgent need to sell, particularly at this stage of the transfer window, and therefore hold a strong negotiating position.
The 28-year-old has become an important part of Oliver Glasner’s plans. His speed, physical power and ability to attack space allow him to operate effectively in several roles across the front line. Palace Have Little Reason to Compromise
